At family-owned Lake Fern Montessori Academy, we involve you in your child’s learning. Parents, students, teachers, and administrators work together as a team to help your child reach his or her fullest potential. Multi-grade level classrooms are carefully designed to allow your child to progress at a steady rate. Students are encouraged to work with material based on current ability level and not simply a specific grade level. This allows the child to work with material in specific interest areas that often far surpass his or her grade level while maintaining consistent progress in other areas as well.

Children are encouraged to help teach and learn from one another and teachers are considered facilitators for student learning. Our educational activities are relevant and interesting and hands-on, student-choice materials are used to keep learning fun and exciting.

Trustworthy Teachers Trained to Help Your Child Grow

Our teachers are experienced with the Montessori method of learning, multiple intelligence theory, and behavior analysis. In compliance with section 1002.421(2)(h) Florida statutes , all of the teachers employed by Lake Fern Montessori Academy meet one of the following requirements: Baccalaureate Degree or higher, three or more years of public and/or private school teaching, special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualifies them to provide instruction in subjects taught. All lead teachers have Montessori certification. Teachers are trained to understand your child’s individual needs and lessons and activities are individualized to each child.
