Multi-grade level classrooms are carefully designed to allow your child to progress at a steady rate.
How we operate
Students are encouraged to work with material based on current ability level and not simply a specific grade level. This allows the child to work with material in specific interest areas that often far surpass his or her grade level while maintaining consistent progress in other areas as well. Children are encouraged to help teach and learn from one another and teachers are considered facilitators for student learning.

Our teachers are experienced with the Montessori method of learning, multiple intelligence theory, and behavior analysis. In compliance with section 1002.421(2)(h) Florida statutes, all of the teachers employed by Lake Fern Montessori Academy meet one of the following requirements: Baccalaureate Degree or higher, three or more years of public and/or private school teaching, special skills, knowledge, or expertise that qualifies them to provide instruction in subjects taught. All lead teachers have Montessori certification. Teachers are trained to understand your child’s individual needs and lessons and activities are individualized to each child.

My kids came to this school after many years of struggling and falling behind in public school. This school has been absolutely amazing, my children are doing better than they ever have and the love learning now. My daughter who has always been very shy has come a long way since she started this school too, she has become much more social now with adults and children. My son had struggled every year in public school, couldn't focus, falling behind more and more and now he is getting all A's and B's independently. He does not have any of the issues he had in public. Every single teacher here is amazing, they are all so kind and caring. The whole school is a very personal experience which is great. This is an outstanding school I highly recommend it. I don't know what I'd have done without it!! Thanks Lake fern!!

My son came to Lake Fern Montessori after attending a more traditional style school where he really struggled. After starting school at Lake Fern, not only has he grown academically, but now he is excited about learning, has made friends, and enjoys going to school everyday. This school is a perfect fit for him.

Lake Fern Montessori Academy is THE BEST school I've ever had the privilege to work with! The VPK program and the teacher's helped my youngest son so much in getting ready for kindergarten. The teachers and staff at the school really, truly care about each and every student there. I feel so blessed to have found this school, so much so that I have decided to keep my youngest son there past VPK and move my oldest son from public school to Lake Fern as well (for as long as I can keep them there!) They truly are a blessing and I can't recommend them enough! God bless all the tracher's and staff for the wonderful and loving way they teach/treat their students!

Thanks for taking the time to visit our website! Here at Lake Fern Montessori Academy, we pride ourselves on having a family atmosphere. We want our students and their families to feel as if they are part of a community and not just a number in a large, crowded institution. Students are valued as individuals here and our teachers strive to make sure that every child receives the tools and individualized instruction, he or she needs in order to be successful. Excellent parent-teacher communication is vital to the educational experience of your child and at LFMA we continually seek to develop positive relationships with our families and keep them updated regularly on their children’s progress. The combination of the excellent student to teacher ratios, multi-grade level classrooms, specially trained and dedicated staff, and hands-on, relevant material combine to offer your child a quality educational environment that not only prepares him for high school but ultimately for life.
